Paragon Studio offers a bespoke alternative to home gym equipment
Aesthetics have always been an important part of may mental well-being. Whether it is subtle texture of fabrics, architectural equilibrium, or the harmony of colours, the way our senses are engaged have a direct impact on our prefrontal cortex, leading to greater concentration, analytical skills, and emotional wellness. And though each brain is different and responds in a unique way to visual stimuli, the principals of neuroesthetics consistently prove that our environment is a significant factor in our overall wellbeing.
For me my aesthetic vernacular was established quite early on in life.. a subtle tone of white with a tinge of clay; the warmth of wengé wood crafted into simple yet luxurious furnishings; long, uninterrupted, and polyvalent surfaces providing depth and utility; the rich contrast of textures like metal and leather, stone and cashmere. And though there are a plethora of gyms and fitness centres that have embraced this approach to designing their interiors (Equinox, KX, and Remedy Place to name a few), I have always struggled to find gym equipment for my home that reflects my personal style. Take a spin on Amazon or your favourite shopping site and you will see an avalanche ultra-energetic, industrial kit that leaves you feeling more Arnold Schwarzenegger and less like Tom Ford.
So whilst hunting for the perfect yoga mat, I stumbled across Paragon Studio, a British based manufacturer of bespoke, sustainable gym products made with premium natural materials. At the core of Paragon Fitness’s ethos lies a deep-seated belief that fitness should be an accessible and enjoyable experience for everyone. This philosophy is reflected in their meticulous attention to detail, from the selection of premium materials to the fine craftsmanship that goes into each product.
Here are a few of my favourite pieces from their collection

MY YOGA MAT
One of the criteria that I had when looking for a yoga mat was that it had to be made in cork. Cork is a naturally renewable resource, harvested from cork oak trees without harming them, making it an eco-conscious choice. Its natural antimicrobial properties resist bacteria and odours, promoting a more hygienic practice. What I love about the Paragon Studio mat is that it is sourced and made within the UK.
BOXING GLOVES
I love the vintage contrast that Paragon Studio boxing gloves gives to bring warmth and sophistication to contemporary interiors. Crafted from fine leather that has been purposely chosen due to its resistance and durability, these gloves provide triple layer impact protection and can be customised in a variety of leather finishes ranging from a delicate cream to ultra-modern black.

FITNESS BALL STAND
The simplicity of its design is exactly what makes the fitness ball stand so spectacular. Crafted from fine wood and stainless steel, the perfection of this piece can be easily integrated into even the smallest of spaces, coupling aesthetics, form, and function. As with most Paragon Studio equipment, the stand can be customised in its range of rich toned woods and finishes.
THE CREDENZA
Curiously as the world becomes more global, the interior spaces for many keep getting smaller, particularly in the urban landscape. Paragon Studios has an ingenious solution… the Fitness Credenza. Originally conceived as part of a yacht interior, this compact and well-appointed freestanding and customisable piece is a perfect addition to small spaces, yet offering a multitude of fitness accessories elegantly stored in its bespoke inserts.

INTERIOR DESIGN SERVICES
