RESTORATION HARDWARE’S LATEST COUNTRY ESTATE

Restoration Hardware  has made a grand entrance into the European market with its opulent “Gallery at the Historic Aynho Park” in England. This ambitious project breathes new life into Aynho Park, a Grade I listed stately home with a rich history dating back to 1615. Originally built for the Cartwright family, the estate was significantly remodeled by the renowned British architect Sir John Soane in the early 19th century, transforming it into a fusion of Classical Revival and Continental Baroque styles. After decades of various uses, including being a private residence known for its eclectic art collection and events, RH acquired the 73-acre property in 2020, embarking on a meticulous three-year restoration to reimagine it as a sprawling luxury design and hospitality destination. The project showcases RH’s signature “experiential retail” concept, blending curated furniture showrooms with immersive dining and cultural experiences.

Beyond showcasing RH’s extensive collections of interiors, contemporary, modern, and outdoor furnishings, Aynho Park offers a diverse array of services and culinary experiences. Visitors can explore the Sir John Soane Exhibition, detailing the architect’s work, or delve into the Architecture & Design Library, boasting rare books including a first modern-language edition of Vitruvius’s “Ten Books on Architecture.”

The estate is also home to three primary restaurants: The Orangery, offering a dramatic live-fire dining experience; The Loggia, an open-air restaurant with wood-fired pizzas and charcuterie; and The Conservatory, an American bistro. For more casual refreshments, guests can enjoy a refined afternoon tea service at the Tea Salon, sip on fine wines and Champagnes at the Wine Lounge, or grab organic juices and craft espresso at the Juicery, all designed to immerse visitors in the RH lifestyle within this historic and picturesque setting.
